Fabulous chicken fry with my 98 year old Mother! Service was good even though they had an event in back room!

This place has been on our restaurant bucket list (and not just because it is said to be haunted) for quite some time and Kendall's did not disappoint! There was ample parking right in front of the restaurant and a nice area to wait outside if you arrive before they open (they have limited hours of operation, so make sure to check that they are open). When the restaurant opened, we were warmly greeted and the door was held open for us as we entered which was a nice touch. Our server was fast, friendly and professional making sure our order was brought to our table quickly and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.....the world famous chicken fried steak! My chicken fried steak had an amazing , light, almost tempura-like crisp batter coating (I would almost consider working there for free just to get the recipe!) that was topped with a delicious country gravy and came with french fries that were perfect (that slightly crisp exterior with a nicely done, soft interior) and fried okra that was made with the same, obvious care. It was happy tummy dance delicious! My partner had the Pond and Pasture Platter (a half sized chicken fried steak with a serving of fish) creamy mashed potatoes and corn which he said was great. He enjoyed his so much that he had me try a piece of his fish that practically melted in my mouth. The atmosphere was family like with many patrons in a great mood, talking amongst their own tables as well as with others....this could have been because of the fun, enjoyable event taking place that evening.... The Chicken Fried Steak Challenge being taken on by both Katina of "Katina Eats Kilos" and Randy "Atlas" Santel. Both were kind and gracious, greeting and interacting with restaurant patrons before and after they each successfully took on the challenge. It was wonderful to find out that they were (individually and together) as down to earth , enjoyable, and approachable as they seem in their videos. This was one of the most memorable date nights we have had; we will definitely be going back for the service and food alone,

First time diners at Kendall's and we must say it was a pleasant experience. The good was great and our hostess was delightful. We'll be back! P.S.-Bring cash; they don't expect credit or debit cards.

This was a great experience overall. Our server was super friendly and made our experience very enjoyable. I got the large chicken fried steak and it was delicious! At the end of the meal they give you a cinnamon roll which was delicious. The inside of the restaurant had country music memorabilia on the walls with low playing music. Overall our supper was a success.

Faith is a terrible mopey server. Drinks came after our food then were handed out wrong so had to wait forever for new ones. Didn't get specific items ordered until we were done eating. Loved the food, service was just terrible. Other tables with other servers seemed fine. Cinnamon roll was amazing. Rarely ever decline to tip, she got like a 4% because we didn't want to wait forever to get change. Not the servers fault, but bring cash because they don't take cards. They have an ATM if you feel like paying feee.

Newest favorite restaurant when I visit NCED. Service was excellent! Ambiance was awesome and the food! The food was ridiculously delicious, I enjoyed the 1/2 Chicken fried Steak & 1/2 catfish along with Okra, tots, green beans & biscuit on the side. . .and I got a cinnamon roll for dessert. Probably the best cinnamon roll I've ever had! I had to buy a 8 piece and put it in my luggage so my gf and daughter could try!!

Some of the best chicken fried steak in the state of Oklahoma. Great staff was very friendly and helpful and your drink will never go dry.
